Tip top Brookland Ulga is Limerick show Champion Limousin for 2024

Show judge Kieran Treanor of the Clontown herd based in county Monaghan had a difficult task when judging the Limousin classes at Limerick show, which took place on Sunday the 25^th August 2024 in the sumptuous surrounds of Limerick Racecourse. A strong lineup of young Limousin cattle in five classes were presented to him, after some deliberation Kieran chose both his Champion and Reserve from the same class – tapped out as Champion was the super stylish Plumtree Fantastic daughter Brookland Ulga from John and Tom Hickey, Kilcommon, Co. Tipperary. Ulga’s dam Brookland Nakita is a daughter of Goldies Jackpot. Standing in Reserve was Knockcoolkeare Unicorn ET, from Micheal Roche, Mountcollins, Co. Limerick. Unicorn is a daughter of Westpit Omaha and Castleview Gail.
