Irish Limousin are embarking on a new competition this year,
The Society are going to replace the RDS Champions of Champions with a new competition Champion of Champions. This competition will consist of three categories, male born on or after 1/1/18, female born on or after 1/1/18 and female born prior to 1/1/18.Confined to animals registered in the ILCS herd book and eligible to compete under ILCS rules.
There will be a total of 14 qualifying shows at which an animal will qualify from each category culminating in a final in September provisionally set for Trim. The final will see 10 animals from the respective qualifier shows competing in each category for the championship and then the three Champions will compete for the Champion of Champions title.
Prize fund of €1000 per category, 1st €250, 2nd €200, 3rd €150, 4th € 100, €50 per animal from 5th to 10th. €500 for Champion of Champions.
Breeders may qualify two animals per category for the finals. Qualifying shows, Athlone, Bailieboro, Ballinrobe, Bridgetown, Castlerea, Charleville, Clonmel, Corofin, Cork, Enniscrone, Finn Valley, Longford, Ossory and Tinahely.
