The Smith family of Oldcastle, Co. Meath enjoyed marvelous success at Balmoral show, their homebred heifer Milbrook Nenya Et collected the red rosette in her class “Heifer born on/between 1st January and 31st March 2018” – this was a very competitive class of young heifers. Nenya is a January 2018 born embryo daughter of Wilodge Vantastic and Milbrook Enya (a Neuf daughter). She caught the eye of Limousin judge – Dougie McBeath.
Tapped out in second place was Strathearn Red Oopsadaisy – a daughter of Trueman Jagger and the renowned Claragh Layla.
Milbrook Nenya Et was also awarded the Champion Junior heifer title and once all Limousin classes were judged she was awarded the Perpetual Challenge Cup as the Champion Limousin at Balmoral Show for 2019.
Not stopping there this outstanding heifer stepped into the ring with the winners from all the other breeds and was tapped out as Reserve Overall Interbreed Champion having earlier taken the Supreme Junior Interbreed title – a remarkable achievement for a remarkable heifer.
Huge congratulations to William and all the Smith family. We wish you all continued success.
