The Cavelands herd was established in 1984 and has steadily expanded to over twenty breeding females through the use of the best French UK and Irish genetics available, our blood lines include, Bavardage, On Dit, Usse, Ronick Hawk, Mereside Godolphin, Ampertaine Foreman, Cavelands Jolly, EBY, Edenvale Ivor, Grangeford JoJo and Plumtree Fantastic. The emphasis has always been on good functionality breed characteristics, docility, milk and good conformation.

Unfortunately we recently lost a considerable parcel of land which had been rented for many years and with great reluctance we have taken the difficult decision to offer for sale all of our maiden heifers which have been born over the last three years.

This sale offers an opportunity for both existing breeders and new entrants to acquire genuine females with a depth of back breeding of proven genetics many of which are no longer available.

We are also consigning a small number of bulls which once again have top genetics, easy calving, qualify for the SCEPs scheme and most importantly have good conformation.

The sale also includes a number of females from our neighbouring Drimabbey herd.

The herd is Johnes risk level 1, WHPR recorded, all females are scanned suitable for breeding and Lepto vaccinated, the males are fertility tested. The herd was TB tested on 9th September.

We would like to wish all perspective buyers the best of luck and hope have as much enjoyment as I have experienced over the last 39 years with the Limousin breed.
