Carrick On Shannon Winter Fair took place on Sunday and Monday 25th and 26th November 2018. The Show took place on Sunday with an outstanding display of exceptional commercial cattle from every part of the country. The bumper sale took place on Monday – with Limousin breed cattle in great demand. The breed recorded the highest price of the sale of €6,200 for a young TVR daughter.
Great display of Limousin in Carrick On Shannon, the day started well for the breed with Aidan Kinahan winning the young stockperson class with a competitive entry of 24.
The show itself saw a tremendous display of Limousin cattle with a number of extremely large classes. Judge on the day was Karl Connell from Oldcastle Co. Meath, a man who needed no introduction.
