The second annual North West club female sale was held in Elphin Mart on Monday December 6th. The brisk on farm trade for Limousin females resulted in some choice lots being sold prior to the sale and reduced the numbers forward at the Auction. Tom Cox was the auctioneer.
The sale topper was Clew Bay Rosan a February 2020 daughter of Neuf with Foreman And Goldies Terence in her sire stack. Bred by Padraig Golden in Westport Co Mayo she sold for €3,200.
Following close behind was Liverpool Rihanna bred by Kevin Graham from Keadue Co. Roscommon. This April 2020 heifer was sired by Ronick Hawk and sold for €3,000.
Donie McKeon received €2,900 for his December 2019 heifer Milan Peighton. This Gamin daughter was sold served and had Foreman and Ronick Member in her sirestack.
Liverpool Rachel a Tomschoice Lexicon Heifer from Kevin Graham sold for €2800.
Overall 12 of the 19 heifers forward sold to average just shy of €2,500
