The Irish Limousin Cattle Society (ILCS) is delighted to welcome Veronica Farrell to the office administration team at Kilglass, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
Veronica brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held senior administrative positions with Sanmina Corporation in Fermoy – with responsibility for document control and quality training. In addition to the herd book administration, Veronica will also assume responsibility for routine book keeping duties. Claire Jones, who provides part-time contracted accounting services to the ILCS, will continue to assist the society on a monthly basis.
Ronan Murphy, Limousin Society CEO said: “We are delighted to welcome Veronica to the team in Mitchelstown. Veronica’s experience and skills will help us to continue to streamline operations and improve services to all our members.
“I would also like to thank Colette English who has decided to retire from her role after 20 years’ service to the society. Colette has made a massive contribution to the society and her expertise will be missed. We are very fortunate to have recruited Veronica who will be assisted by Colette to ensure a smooth handover of duties.”
Also commenting on Veronica’s appointment, society president – Alan Kelly – said: “We are truly delighted to welcome Veronica to the administration team.
“Veronica’s diverse skill set ranging from maintaining, validation and development of documentational systems and databases – coupled with her accounts, book keeping and financial knowledge – will be an excellent addition to the team and will enhance our operational capacity and I personally wish her well in the role.”
Alan also thanked Colette English for her huge contribution to the society over the years.
“After two decades of service to Limousin Society, I would like to wish Colette the very best in her future endeavours. Her professional, dedication and willingness to help and support the ILCS membership is greatly appreciated, and the society will acknowledge this significant contribution in due course.”
“Colette will kindly guide Veronica through all the nuances associated with the pedigree database – thereby ensuring a smooth transition and full retention of all essential corporate knowledge,” he added.
Veronica will commence her new role on Monday, August 29th, and will join Marie O’Mahony on the herd book administration team.
