We were honoured to have Mr. Henry Savage Jnr. of the renowned Trueman herd in Northern Ireland judge the South West Herd Competition for 2025.

The Trueman herd is one of the most successful in the country and is highly regarded for producing outstanding livestock. The world record-priced Limousin bull, Trueman Jagger was bred by the family. Jagger is a son of Ampertaine Elgin, he was exhibited in Carlisle in October 2015 and left the ring with a very impressive record making price tag of 140,000gns.

Trueman is also the birthplace of the Trueman Idol. This Ampertaine Elgin son was represented in Carrick this week by some outstanding commercial daughters with some selling for five figure sums.

Current stock bull in the Trueman herd is Telfers Munster.

Many thanks to Henry for undertaking the judging duties—we wish Trueman Limousins continued success!
