The Irish Limousin Cattle Society (ILCS) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced people for this exciting position. The Breed Secretary will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Society.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Maintain the integrity of the herd book.
  • Implement/apply the Society’s rules.
  • Liaise with the ILCS office and contractors.
  • Support breeders.
  • Co-ordinate sales and events.
  • Represent/co-represent the Limousin Society at stakeholder meetings.
  • Promote the breed.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for the breed (both nationally and internationally).
  • Report to and implement Limousin Council decisions.

 

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person, with good business acumen, prepared to work flexible hours.

The successful candidate should have good knowledge of the cattle breeding industry and understand farmers’ needs.

Salary €50k depending on relevant experience. Transport provided.

Hybrid role.

Full clean driving licence.
