Limerick Show was held on Sunday, August 24th at Limerick Racecourse in Patrickswell. The show featured a strong lineup of cattle classes, including three Limousin classes, an interbreed class, an interbreed pairs class, and a Replacement Index class.

Newtown Trinity takes top honours
Taking top honours as Overall Champion Limousin was Newtown Trinity, an exceptional cow from the herd of Donal Moloney of Ardnacrusha, Co. Clare. Born in March 2022, Trinity is a daughter of Ernevalley Madison Et. She was shown alongside her impressive April 2025-born son, Ardnacrusha Alex, who is sired by Ampertaine Elgin.
Sheehills Allah Et Takes Reserve Champion Title
Claiming the title of Reserve Overall Champion Limousin was Sheehills Allah Et, a striking March 2025-born heifer. From the Tipperary based herd of John and Jack Searson, Allah is a daughter of Gerrygullinane Glen, her dam is the Ampertaine Elgin daughter, Sheehills Jade Et.

Overall Interbreed Champion – Newtown Trinity from the Moloney Family, Ardnacrusha Limouisns
The day got even better for the Moloney’s Ardnacrusha based herd, as Newtown Trinity was also tapped out as the Overall Interbreed Show Champion for 2025. A huge congratulations to Donal, Alice, Rachel and Daniel.

In the class for heifers with a 4 or 5-star across-breed Replacement Index, Knockcoolkeare Violet took the top prize. Owned by Micheal Roche, Violet is a November 2024 born daughter of Plumtree Fantastic and out of Knockcoolkeare Toffee.
