At the 150th anniversary of Balmoral Show which was held on Wednesday 16th May. A two year old Monaghan bred heifer Clontown Lollipop was awarded the Reserve Champion Female plaudits. Lollipop was tapped out by judge Mrs Mary Reynolds of the Rhu Herd, Hampshire, UK having earlier in the show won her class 611 – HEIFER, in calf, born on or between 1st October 2015 and 30th June 2016 and due to calve before attaining the age of 39 months.

Lollipop stood in Reserve to Trueman Noreen, who went on to win the  Limousin Female Champion, Limousin Supreme Overall Champion, Interbreed Supreme Champion and Best Continental Beef Recorded Heifer. Noreen was bred by Henry Savage & Family, Newry, Co. Down.

Born in May 2016, Lollipop is a daughter of Elite Forever Brill Et and Millgate Heather. She was bred by Kieran and Kevin Treanor, Scotstown, Co. Monaghan.

Kieran and Kevin sold this outstanding heifer in early 2018 to Tara O’Brien and Stephen Williamson for their Blackwater Limousin herd which is based in Benburb, Co Tyrone.
