The Irish Pedigree Breeders Council awards were held in the Midlands Park Hotel in early February. This was the first year since 2020 that the event took place as a result of the pandemic.
The awards showcase a pedigree breeder or animal – chosen by individual breed societies – that they believe best represents the attributes of their breed and has promoted the breed in a positive light during 2022.
The Irish Limousin Cattle Society chose Glenford Royalty – 2022 Tullamore Show Supreme Champion; Royalty was bred by Kelly Stephenson and PJ McGrath.
The award was presented by the department of agriculture, minister of state, Martin Heydon.
