There is a strict culling policy to ensure that only docile top performers are kept for breeding.
Some of the most successful and most used A.I. sires have originated from the Castleview herd. Castleview Gazelle (ZAG) from the G7 dam-line was the most used sire in Irish A.I. 2016-2020.
Castleview Gringo (GWO) also from the G7 line was the most popular sire of pedigree calves born in Ireland in 2015. He was a firm favourite among commercial and pedigree breeders alike to produce correct fast growing well muscled progeny.
A direct son of G7; Castleview Casino (CWI) by Otan at Dovea AI is a proven maternal bull.
Castleview Reece, a Cameos son from the Leny family joined the NCBC stud in 2022 and is producing nice well muscled calves.
