To be eligible for Society sales, the National Show (Tullamore) and club calf finals, bull calves gaining ≥1.7kg/day and heifer calves gaining ≥1.5kg/day must have their birth weight reported by email to the society office within 48 hours of birth.

Information required:
- Breeder’s Name and Herd Number
- Cow Tag Number (for ET calves both genetic and surrogate dam tag numbers)
- Sire AI Code/Name
- Calf Tag Number and Name
- Calf Date of Birth
- Calf Gender (Male/Female)
- Calf Weight*
*Where no birth weight is supplied at notification the birth weights used will be 45kg for bull calves and 40kg for heifer calves.
Please note: Failure to notify a birth weight for a calf that later exceeds the daily weight gain rule (≥1.7kg/day for bulls, ≥1.5kg/day for heifers) will result in its immediate disqualification from all society sales, the National show, and club calf finals.
Notifications of birth weights may result in an on-farm inspection.
