The 33rd National Limousin show took place on Sunday 11th August at Tullamore Show. A fantastic lineup of outstanding cattle held the large ringside crowd captive. Judging duties fell to the renowned Armagh based Henry Savage Jnr. Henry together with his parents and siblings operate the noted Trueman herd, birthplace of the record price breaking bull Trueman Jagger, sold in Carlisle in 2015 for 147,000gns. Stockbull at the herd is the highly regarded Telfers Munster, acquired in Carlisle for 20,000 gns. Henry will add the National show to his judging resume, he has previously judged at the British Limousin Carlisle show and sale.
Speaking after the show Henry commented
I was honoured to judge here today in Tullamore. I was very impressed with the exceptional quality in all classes presented. The female classes were exceptionally strong with the Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme being for me the standout cattle. I would like to complement the exhibitors on the fantastic display of cattle.

Taking the Supreme Champion plaudits was the outstanding May 2022 born Leopard daughter ERNEVALLEY TEMPTRESS from the herd of Eddie Lynch, Loughduff, Co. Cavan. Temptress’s dam is the home bred Ernevalley Naughty Girl ET, herself a daughter of Haltcliffe Vermont. Temptress won first prize in Class 71: National Pedigree Registered Limousin Heifer Born on/between 01.01.2022 and 30.06.2022 before going on to take the Senior Female Champion title, followed by the Overall Female title, ensuring a day to remember for the Lynch family she fought off stiff competition to take the Supreme Champion crown. Congratulations to the Lynch family on this remarkable achievement.
Supreme Champion Limousin 2024 – Ernervalley Temptress
Reserve Supreme Champion went to William Smith’s phenomenal cow the six year old MILBROOK NIKKIESPICE ET. Nikkiespice is no stranger to the showring having taking many championships in a illustrious show career including Supreme champion at Balmoral and at this venue last year. Nikkiespice is a daughter of the famous Milbrook Gingerspice and Ampertaine Elgin, a pedigree combination that is renowned in breeding circles. Nikkiespices’ full sister is the Limousin world record priced Wilodge Poshspice, who sold in Carlisle as as a fourteen month old heifer in 2021 for 250,000gns. Nikkiespice won Class 70: National Pedigree Registered Limousin Cow calved or incalf or incalf senior heifer born before the 01.01.2022, she came to the ring with her July born bull calf Milbrook Vaughan at foot. Vaughan is an exciting prospect, steeped in champion genetics, his sire Aughalion Prince Et, is a son of Telfers Munster and the famous show dam Whitehall Iris.

Ulysses won Class 62: National Pedigree Registered Limousin Bull Born on/between 01.05.2023 and 31.08.2023 before taking the Senior Male Championship and then taking the Overall Male Champion title.
2024 National Limousin Male Champion & Senior Male Champion – KILLCASTLE ULYSSES ET
Standing as National Limousin Reserve Male Champion is HURRICANE ULTRABEAT ET, a September 2023 born son of Ampertaine Foreman and Hurricane Lady Hawk Et. Ultrabeat is replicating the achievements of his full brother Hurricane Scat Man ET (also a Reserve Senior Champion in Tullamore). Ultrabeat won Class 63: National Pedigree Registered Limousin Bull Born on/between 01.09.2023 and 31.10.2023, he then won the Junior Male Championship before take the Reserve Overall Male championship.
