On Wednesday the 24th October the South West Limousin Club in-conjunction with Castleisland Mart hosted a breeding heifer show and sale. Sean O’Sullivan, a Vet in the area and owner of the renowned Castleview pedigree herd was on hand to judge the heifers. A very good entry of quality heifers resulted in great demand from a packed sales room
The !st prize winning heifer was owned by Mary Kennelly of Listowel, this heifer weighed 516kg and sold for €1,180. In 2nd place was a young daughter of Elderberry Galahad (EBY), this heifer weighed 376kg and sold for €1,030, she was bred by John O’Connor.
