Northeastern Limousin Club Herd competition 2026
The Northeastern Limousin club will hold the annual herd competition on the week starting 17th of August.
This year the competition will be divided into 4 sections:
- Novice (1st time entrant, herd size not relevant)
- Small (1 to 10 calves registered in 2025)
- Medium (11 to 20 calves registered in 2025)
- Large (21 plus calves registered in 2025)
Each Section will have 10 categories, e.g. best cow with a calf at foot, best stock bull, best batch of calves etc.
Members can enter the main herd competition section, or just a category within that section, or a number of categories as suits.
Entry fee €50
Entries open 1st of July.

Prize giving will be held on the evening of our Extravaganza event on the 29th of August in the Virginia show centre.
