The 2023 South East Herd Competition was held in August. We had a special committee of five members from our club, Emer Moran, Brendan O’Shea, Tom Harney, Steven Tierney, and Sean Maher, who arranged all details for members to enter the competition and also collected sponsorship for our raffle on the night.
The club had the honour of welcoming our Judge, Mr. John McInerney from the Drummin herd in Clare.
Judging took place throughout three days in August and then we held our club’s social event in November in Langton’s Hotel in Kilkenny to announce the results.
On the night we had great prizes to be raffled, all which were sponsored from the following companies:
