Limousin success continues at Balmoral with William Smiths Milbrook Ginger Spice taking overall interbreed champion for the second year in a row.

She came through as Limousin  champion under judge Stephen Illingworth and was praised by interbreed judge Colin Hutchings as “ a phenonomal heifer with great  style, presence and breed character.”

By the prolific breeding Wilodge Vantastic, she is out of the  Broomfield Useful daughter Milbrook Baby. She’s in calf to  Brookmill Fearless, a Sympa son and is due January.

Athenry Show & Sale April 2013

The longevity of the winter season had a detrimental effect on buyer turnout in Athenry on Thursday April 18th last. This coupled with a catalogue which was 60% bigger than that of 2012 resulted in a potential purchasers’ paradise. While the ringside was packed, purchasers were very conscious of the harsh ground conditions and many said while they were very tempted to purchases the reality of the feed situations at home prevented them from doing so. The average price recorded on the day was €2603. View report >>>
