North East Club Herds Competition and Prize Giving Night

The North Eastern Limousin Club are running the club herds competition between the 26th and the 30th of June with over 40 herds competing. Melanie and Micheal Alford of Foxhill farm pedigrees are judging this year’s competition.

On Friday night the 30th June the club will hold the herds competition prize giving, club auction and a presentation to the clubs founding member Mr Ray Carolan (Carwin Limousins). The auction promises to be the highlight of the night with a selection of rare semen straws including Cloughhead Lord, Kaprico Eravelle and Nenuphar to mention a few being offered. Three top drawer embryos and an outstanding heifer calf Ernevalley Lioness (click below to see video) will all be auctioned on the night. Lioness is an October born daughter of Lodge Hamlet, out of a homebred Wilodge Cerberus daughter Ernevalley Innis ET. The grand dam of Lioness is the famous Drummin Cliona a Mas Du Clo daughter who has bred progeny to €16,500 and multiple high priced sons and daughters at auction. We expect interest on this outstanding heifer from home and abroad. Viewing can be arranged prior to the sale by contacting Eddie on +353 (0) 86 822 9210 or Philip on +353 (0) 86 0743931 .

Entry on the night is €20, supper will be served and live music by Philamena and Cossie.
